For your ears

I like the music in videogames, some would say I like videogame music too much in that I listen to it on a regular basis when not playing videogames. My dream is to one day DJ using only videogame music
The Library theme-From Resident Evil 2
Edit: Due to the fucking shitty internet connection in this college, ill have to continue this later

FM 2008

Sweaters for goalposts, young boys larking around in the park, oranges and tea at half time, hollering the names of your favourite superstars of the beautiful game ... basically, a lot of kids grow up with some sort of desire to be a successful footballer. Many of us realise we are to fat, to slow, to graceless or just not motivated enough to play football in any serious capacity and move on with our lives. The football dream, however, lives on. For the man who wishes he could play like a hero, we have PES. For the man who thinks he's got it all sewn up in his head, however, we have Football Manager.

And that time of year is almost upon us ... the time of year when the latest Football Manager makes it's way out into the world and I make my way into bed with it for the next 3 months. There's a raft of new features broadcast for the new game, such as a revamped financial section to help you get more info on yourclubs finances and give you tighter control on the wage and transfer buidgets, expanded media, improved 2d engine for better matches etc etc.

Basically, I'm going to go deep mining this game as soon as it comes out. I'm excited.

Anything you might possibly want to know about the game is here ...

Knob Goblin

I've just been invited to partake of this blog, and as a statment of intent, here's a nice trailer:

Yes. I will be nerding it up on the rpg and real time strategy fron, so we've got that base covered. Now Dano and Brian can concentrate on humour, shoot-em-ups, fighting games and pretty much everything else out there on the market right now apart from nerdy strategy games...

Virtual Console Friday: feb 23

officially one of the greatest games ever has hit the virtual console, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. If youve never played it, DOWNLOAD IT NOW. if you have, DOWNLOAD IT NOW.
also available is the critically acclaimed Kid Icarus, a hit back in the days of the NES.

Wii-view (sound of gunfire): Excitetruck

Originally released as a Wii launch title in the US, Nintendo Europe decided to hold back its release here to beef up the usually barren post-christmas lull.
First up, if your looking for serious truck simulation and stacks of customisable features, you aint going to get it here.
If however, you want trucks that spend more time in the air and pulling "mad trix" as the yanks would say and custumisation that goes no further than truck colour, then this is THE game. Depth does not come into this games equation, but fuck it, im a San Francisco rush, not gran turismo kind of guy, so this is right up me ruddy alley.
Nice chunky graphics, a solid framerate and a fun multiplayer. Plus if you dig hi-scores, this kills it. With the controller held horizontally it may take a while to adjust to the sensativity of the steering but once mastered the feeling of tearing round the well designed tracks is ace.
Thankfully, the development team had to foresight to allow you to create your own soundtrack using Mp3's loaded to an SD card, a saving grave seeing as the default music is fucking phish of the power-chord, geetar shreading variety.
Overall, the Wii's first truly good racing game, pity it's only two player.

Computer Jones(aka Brian) is in the Building

The cd-i was an ill-fated attempt of philips to get kids learning and playing videogames on their personal computers, heres a couple of the titles which apart from licensing nintendo had virtually nothing to do with.... I think these videos say more than I could ever get out of this keyboard, enjoy(!?) :
